ELECTRICAL ENERGY STORAGE – WHAT

S IN FOR BRAZIL –

STATUS, PROGRAMS & PROSPECTS (STATIONARY/R&D/RESIDENTIAL)

Summary

The Brazilian electricity industry

has a well established R&D

programme mandated by the

National Regulatory Agency

ANEEL, and electrical energy

storage related research has been

on the agenda of various Brazilian

R&D facilities for decades. This

session will provide a glance on

the current status of related

research for stationary purposes

being undertaken in various labs

and what are the prospects in the

near and mid-term. Moreover, as

well how electrical energy storage

(ees) industry is anticipated to

evolve in future. Representatives

of relevant R&D labs will be part

of this session.
